QSI International School of Bishkek was established in 1994. It is a private, non-profit institution which offers high quality education in the English language for elementary and secondary students from 3 to 18 years of age. QSIB has grown each year since its inception. In 2004, the school moved its campus to a larger, remodeled building with a large play area, an outside basketball court, and a fully functional cafeteria. The facilities are adequate for the current enrolment.
The school's educational philosophy, which includes a personalized approach to instruction, leads to teaching for mastery. We believe in success for all students. We seek to create a positive learning environment since we believe a child learns more if he/she enjoys his/her learning experience. We believe that a quality international education involves "educating the whole child." Our goals at QSI International School of Bishkek are to challenge all students to grow in every facet of their lives during their time at our school.
The primary purpose of the school is to meet the needs of children in Bishkek who require this type of education with a view to continuing their education in their home countries with a minimum of adjustment problems. This program is also offered to Kyrgyz citizens who seek this education with a view to higher studies outside of the country.
Our curriculum includes English (reading, grammar, composition, keyboarding, and spelling), mathematics, cultural studies (history, geography, economics, etc.), science, technology, art, music, and physical education as part of the regular program. Intensive English classes are provided for those with a limited knowledge of the English language. Russian, Kyrgyz, French, and Spanish are additional language classes that are offered to students. In addition, after school activities are organized several days a week. |
